What’s your reason to quit smoking?
It doesn’t matter what the reason is, as long as you have decided to stop smoking, you have taken the first step towards becoming a non smoker.
Hypnotherapy can help you to identify why, where and how you smoke, so you can tackle the ingrained rituals and habits associated with your smoking behaviour. You can reprogram your subconscious mind to reject cigarettes and stop smoking completely. Just wanting to stop isn’t enough. You need to apply new strategies and information, so the subconscious part of the brain understands that you no longer wish to smoke. This means craving, rituals and habits start to fade away, no longer prompting you to smoke.
How many sessions does it take to stop smoking?
It’s just one session. My Stop Smoking treatment lasts just 2 hours and usually takes place at my practice in Purley, near Croydon, Surrey. Home visits are available in special circumstances.
What will happen when I come for the Hypnotherapy?
We spend an hour or so talking in detail about your smoking habits and behaviours and then there is 45 minutes of relaxation under hypnosis to reinforce your desire to stop smoking. There’s 15 minutes at the end to ask any questions.
How much does it cost?
The session costs £150.00. It may seem a lot, but remember that a 20-a-day smoker spends over £2,500 a year on cigarettes.
Does it work?
Yes. It worked for me (I quit in 2007). I’m always honest with people. It is not a magic fix, but it does give you a great basis to stop smoking permanently. The main indicator of success is a desire to stop smoking. If you are not ready or don’t really want to stop then the treatment will not be as successful. I have treated over 100 clients for Stop Smoking and the majority of them have come to me as a referral from a friend or relative. I also offer my clients ongoing support.
